First Project Management (PM) training held at Chiang Mai

July 1, 2008, Chiang Mai

The first Project Management training for trainers has been carried out by the National Health and Education Committee (NHEC) between 1 and 7 July 2008 in Chiang Mai area, Thailand. Eleven participants from Karen, Karenni, Mon, Lahu and NHEC participated in and learned essential knowledge and skills of project management in local community level.

New Management Trainers are working Gruopwork.

In the current project period, year 2006-2009, NHEC had planned to provide the project management training for trainers to eligible participants from the member organizations and affiliated organizations, and recruit new project management trainers.

In accordance with the plan, the NHEC achieved training and recruiting eleven participants including 3 women as the project management trainers. The Capacity Building Department of NHEC sponsored the training and former executive director Mr Min Min Oo performed as the facilitator. All participants and the NHEC appreciated Mr Min Min Oo’s contribution and instructions.

New trainers of the project management will deliver the skills and knowledge they have gained from the training to their local people before ending 2008. The NHEC and Capacity Building Department are confident that the new trainers will be able to implement six local trainings at least with the Danish Burma Committee’s fund.
